Coaching

I have worked at some of the biggest theatres across the country.  From classical works to music theatre, commercials to film, I have worked in every medium.  As a working actor, I have my finger on the pulse of what is happening in the arts community.  Whether you are auditioning for an upcoming project, or auditioning for undergrad and graduate theatre programs, I will help you prepare your materials so you feel confident in the audition room.

Through confidence comes truthful, open acting.

Pick the material

Whether you are prepping for a school audition or a professional audition, I will help you find audition material that you feel confident with and best shows off your strengths as an actor. From contemporary to classical monologues and musical theatre songs, we will build your book and help you get ready for whatever auditions you encounter!

Prepping the material

I will help you develop your tools, and learn how to rehearse.  In our sessions, we will work on analyzing the text, connecting to the words, and finding your voice within the material. You will build on the lessons you learn, and carry them over to every project you work on.

Connecting with the artistic Community

The most important part of being an artist is finding a community that encourages you.  Connecting with other artists has been an invaluable tool for me as an actor.  I will help connect you with a growing group of artists that work to support one another through collaborations, recommendations, and news on upcoming auditions in your area. Surround yourself with people who inspire you, and your creativity will thrive.

Connect ~ Inspire ~ Thrive

Testimonials:

"I took a zoom but tour de force (!) class series with Amanda Pulcini / Green Shirt Studio - Finding Yourself in the Text. It helped me immensely with a deeper understanding of relationships between words, breath, meaning, and ability to express yourself. Amanda Pulcini is a dynamic and engaged instructor - just awesome. And, I also had a lot of fun sharing and learning in a small group setting.”

-Kinga Lipinska

“I took Amanda’s text analysis [at Green Shirt Studios]. We met weekly for only a few weeks. But I am amazed how much I learned - very practical, down to earth insights  into acting. For example, from Amanda I learned how breathing into the text can dramatically affect my presentation. This is something I will use in all my acting. And I can’t end without mentioning Amanda’s enthusiasm for helping students learn and grow. It is a great source of encouragement."

-Tom Ochocinski

“In our monologue coaching session, Amanda helped me achieve breakthrough moments and introduced me to new concepts that I now use in my script analysis. Amanda's thorough coaching really helped me make bold choices and identify the specifics of my character's intentions. I look forward to working with her again!”

-Kayla Moore

“Amanda is a wonderful acting coach - one of the best I’ve worked with. With years of experience and training, Amanda helps you deepen your connection and understanding to a piece of text in a manner that is unique and organic to yourself. A dancer and singer, Amanda offers notes that go beyond the “actorly” what do you want or how are you fighting for your objective. She points out any vocal and physical tendencies which are limiting a free, expressive channel and offers recommendations on how to fix them. Besides her expertise, Amanda is a kind, encouraging, highly articulate human being, and I couldn’t recommend her more. No matter what auditions or callbacks you are preparing for, I am confident Amanda will leave you feeling more prepared and better equipped than before. Five stars!”

-Maricruz Menchero

“I have been fortunate to have been coached by Amanda multiple times, and each time I come away feeling more confident, grounded, and excited about the work I am doing. She has a unique way of leading you to discoveries by way of a mutual dialogue this is always organic. She’s intuitive, receptive, and one of the most emotionally intelligent, and downright intelligent, people I’ve worked with. I have no doubt that I have a better understanding and connection to material specifically because of the work Amanda has done with me. Working with Amanda has helped me grow in ways I could have never expected.”

-Gilly Caulo

“I have never felt more prepared or confident in being myself in any room, whilst also being unapologetic about being ready for the role. I will work with Amanda, time and again, as she brings out the best in what makes me, me.

Amanda Pulcini is not only a talented and engaging actor herself, but she is an expert on preparing actors for the rooms they want to work in. Auditioning can be a daunting experience. You have a very short timeframe to show an auditioner that you are a human that they want to work with based on your talent and your energy in the room. I am always ready to be the person someone will want to work with, thanks to Amanda.”
